What Does Your Attitude Say About You?

by Doris Foster

One day, as I was pondering about how I can be better at things that I do and want to do, I decided to pray and ask that question to God.  I learned a long time ago that if you ask God something, He will always answer, even if it’s in an unexpected way.  But, let me warn you…if you are not careful you will miss it.

In getting my answer, it was summed up in one word, ATTITUDE.  Having the right attitude is the key to the success in almost all situations we are faced with. Our attitude determines the outcome of what our plans will become, whether they are successful or whether they fail, whether we are happy or sad. At the start of anything we should check our attitude. If we do anything with the wrong attitude we will become frustrated, burned out, and anxious. Subsequently, we can build up anxiety. However, if we have the right attitude…doing what comes naturally brings fulfillment and joy.

This concept will have an impact on every aspect of our lives, not just our home, family and work, but, also the church. There is much work to be done in the world and everybody who makes up the body of Christ has a part to play.  We are all different and have varying gifts. No single person has all the answers.  In other words, if you have the right biblical-based attitude you will experience greater joy in your Christian life and your personal life!  If we seek to do anything, it will not be out of obligation, but out of love for God and gratitude for what He has done for us through His Son, Jesus Christ.  “Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people.” (Ephesians 6:7 NIV).
